Dee-Jay’s Grille assisting charity with shirt sale

WEIRTON – What started out approximately five years ago as an effort to help a friend, has grown into a tradition to benefit many in the area dealing with cancer.
Throughout the month of October, the employees of Dee-Jay’s BBQ Ribs and Grille will be holding its annual T-shirt sale fundraiser in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This year’s shirts, which will be available for $20 each, feature a theme of “Dee-Jay’s Angels,” displaying a pink breast cancer awareness ribbon and angel wings on a black background.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Tony Teramana Cancer Center’s T.E.A.R. fund.
“We’re keeping it local,” manager Donna Brettell said, explaining the charitable organization assists area cancer patients with food, utilities and other costs. “Every little bit helps.”
